Well the time came to sell our home, and who better to call then the person with whom we had a great experience representing us in the purchase 10 years prior: Shannon. Now, I'm a "do it yourself" kind of person and I weighed the possibility of listing it as a for sale by owner initially...that lasted all of about 5 minutes when I remembered all of the actions, formalities, legal ramifications, and attention it really takes in buying/selling property. I didn't have the ability to take a month off work and focus on the sale of my home and needed the expertise of someone I trusted, and whom had my interests in mind. That all being said, I called Shannon. She gave me a breakdown on the current comps and gave me an idea of what we were looking at as far as a selling price. But before we took action, she gave us a few cosmetic recommendations, that if we could accomplish, might make our home really stand out from the few others that were listed. We thought it made sense as well and held off on the listing for about a week to accomplish them (painting the exterior trim, garage door, cleaning up the yard, etc). After that was all complete, the photographer came out and took pictures. All this occurred while we were out of town so we had to rely on Shannon to run the show. When all was said and done, the house looked so damn good that she recommended a higher asking price...and once the home hit the market, we received offers well above asking. 30-something days later the home received a new owner! Any real estate agent can "list" a home, but not many will answer EVERY phone call you make to them, assist with honesty and integrity, and take care of things to eliminate the stressors of going through one of the biggest transactions most of us will ever do. Shannon is that person. Now, this is not some paid advertisement or anything, just honest feedback from a family who were blessed with being introduced to her 10 years prior and have had 2 awesome experiences in buying and selling homes with her.
